Louisiana Planter's Punch Recipe
Nothing says Mardi Gras more than a traditional Louisiana cocktail. The Louisiana Planter's Punch drink recipe is made from dark rum, bourbon, cognac, Pernod absinthe, bitters, simple syrup, lemon juice and club soda, and served over ice in a highball glass garnished with fresh fruit.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Dark Rum
- 1 oz Bourbon
- 1 oz Cognac
- 1/4 tsp Absinthe (Pernod)
- 5 dashes Bitters (Peychaud)
- 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- Club Soda - to fill
- slice Lemon - for garnish
- slice Orange - for garnish
- Garnish: Orange, Lemon
- Glass: Highball Glass
Directions
- Shake all ingredients, except club soda, with ice in a cocktail shaker.
- Strain into a highball glass full of ice and fill with club soda.
- Stir gently and garnish with an orange slice and a lemon slice.
