Fruitcake Sour Recipe
Give your friends and family a fruitcake for Christmas, one that they will truly enjoy! The Fruitcake Sour is a wonderfully balanced orange colored cocktail recipe made from Don Q white rum, Disaronno amaretto, Aperol, cinnamon syrup, lemon juice, apricot preserves, egg white, cranberry bitters and nutmeg, and served in a chilled cocktail glass.
Ingredients
- 1 oz White Rum (Don Q)
- 1/2 oz Amaretto (Disaronno)
- 1/2 oz Aperol
- 1 oz Cinnamon Syrup
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Jelly or Jam - apricot preserves
- 2 dashes Cranberry Bitters
- 1 Egg - white
- pinch Nutmeg - for garnish
- Garnish: Nutmeg
- Glass: Cocktail Glass
Directions
- Shake all ingredients, except nutmeg, vigorously with ice for 15 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Top with freshly grated nutmeg and serve.
